What made you decide to try Platform Strength Training in the first place?

One of my friends went to the open house and got a free class pass and asked if I wanted to come with her. I got a month’s membership after that first class to see if it is something I would enjoy and I have LIKED IT A LOT!!!

What is your favorite part about Platform Strength Training/Empowered Living Company?

You can start where you need to and go at your own pace.  Trying something new can be intimidating and it hasn’t been that way at all.  There has been a really good group in the mornings and they are really supportive of what you can do and push you to become better.

What’s your favorite movement or lift?

Back squats

What’s you least favorite movement or lift?

Handstand push-ups and Burpees

What’s one milestone you’re most proud of so far?

I am not sure yet….I like seeing numbers change and I haven’t done it long enough to see those changes, but I know it is happening. Sore muscles = building muscles.

What are some unexpected benefits you’ve experienced since starting?

I don’t know if it is a benefit, but I have been getting up at 4:50-5:00 am without an alarm and I don’t dread going (most days). J

What is your next goal you plan to crush?

I want to work on my upper body strength; it has always been my weakness.

What advice would you give someone walking through the Empowered Living Company/Platform Strength Training door for their first time?

Don’t look at what others can do around you it can be intimidating. The only person you should be comparing yourself with is the person you were yesterday, a week ago, a month ago.  Are you better?  Are you stronger?  Are you healthier? Are you more confident? Change takes hard work.  Keep with it.
